Helping children sleep better, learn better and have more success in school and sports! By Hassan Refay
In today's world of video games and internet, smart and talented children are having problems with concentration, self-discipline and sleeping at night.
Hi,
My name is Hassan Refay; I'm a German Sports psychologist, story teller and best selling author.
Since graduating from Berlin University, in Germany, 25 years ago, I have been helping children, young athletes, golf, and tennis players with my mental toughness programs and motivational stories. I have found while working as a school psychologist, that through the use of simple funny stories, young children are effectively and easily taught how to concentrate better, learn easier, and fall asleep faster.
My writing experience includes work for theatre, radio, and television. I have completed 86 publications and have sold more than 1,200,000 copies of those same publications. Currently, I reside in Florida and continue my work with talented individuals in ranging from junior level, college, and professional players. I also regularly give speeches and workshops at various schools.
"The SNOOGiS". are designed to help elementary school children to:
- Concentrate better in school
- Focus and perform better in sports
- Fall a sleep faster
- Develop more self esteem, patience, and confidence
Smart Kids Need Real Success!
The SNOOGi stories are funny and exciting without the need for loudness or violence. I just use the power of storytelling to relax, motivate, and inspire young children.
Every SNOOGi is telling the story of a child or animals success when they attempt to to become a SNOOGI. I use Positive sayings such as "1, 2, 3, and 4, I feel confident like before" or 1, 2, 3, and 4, I have fear no more" are used to help the children develop a positive attitude, confidence and better concentration.
This very technique is one I have used with great success for the last 26 years now.
1. Millie and Lilly save the zoo
The Millie and Lilly story shows how to overcome obstacles and build self esteem.
Milly and Lilly, two centipedes at the local zoo where excited about the news. Mr. Smith, the zoo director just announced that each animal that lives in the zoo will become a SNOOGi if they can build the tallest animal pyramid in the world.
The other animals that lived in the zoo were just as excited about the news and were ready to get started on the pyramid. Millie and Lilly, who must have been the most excited of them all, were ready to help with the pyramid. The monkey started laughing at the idea that Millie; Lilly's younger brother could even think such a thing was possible.
Monkey said. "You are weak, you are small and you are only 4 inches tall... This made Millie very disappointed and he started to cry, "I'm weak, and I'm small, I'm only 4 inches tall"
Lilly, his older sister kept telling him, "NO, No Millie! Listen to me:
"You are smart and strong and almost 5 inches long."...
With the help of "Stick" the magic cat and "Blitz" the smart dog, The tow tiny millipedes, Milly and Lilly, were able to overcome all the obstacles they faced and help to save the zoo. It was certainly hard for them to work their small bodies to the top of the pyramid but they kept with it and finally made it. They made it to the top just in time to win the gold medal for the entire zoo. A big party was held for all the animals in the zoo to celebrate. The celebration ended and all the animals went straight to bed as they were so tired from the big successful day they have come through. Each night, the animals invite all the children around the world to be a part of their relaxation routine and fall to sleep looking forward to an exciting and successful day to come.
2. The Donkey who lost his mind
The donkey story helps children with memorization, concentration and focus.
Dan, the gray donkey, was constantly dreaming of becoming a SNOOGi but was not sure how to go about it! He thought he was not smart enough, funny enough, or strong enough to do anything special like become a SNOOGi. One special day, as Dan sat in front of the donkey keeper listening to him read, something about the story made him laugh.
The donkey keeper asked Dan, ""Do you understand what I'm reading?
Dan said, "Sure, Yes, I understand every word!"
"WOW!" The donkey keeper exclaimed, I will teach you how to spell all 300 animal names and you will be able to be a SNOGGi and the first donkey to be able to do this very thing!"
The entire zoo was ready to support Dan in learning to spell all the animal names except for the monkeys. They kept running after him taunting him saying, "You can learn and you can study but you will never become a SNOOGi…
Suddenly, Dan couldn't remember any animal name at all and started scampering around crying," I lost my mind, I lost my mind!"
"Stick", the magical cat, and "Blintz", the smart dog, helped Dan to remember the 300 animal names in the nick of time to win the spelling bee.
3. The Eagle who is afraid to fly
The eagle story is about courage, perseverance and …
Max is a strong American bald eagle who is planning to fly 3 baby elephants on his back around the zoo 3 times so he can become a SNOOGi. Every animal in the zoo was cheering for Max except for the monkeys who never seem to be very positive about anything. They just sat on the top of the trees pointing and shouting "Cookies, nuts and apple pie, Max is now afraid to fly"..."Cookies, nuts and apple pie, Max is now afraid to fly". "Max!
"Don't listen to those crazy Monkeys, they only want to distract you" the zoo keeper told him. Max tried hard to ignore what the Monkeys were saying and focus on the training he had learned but became so afraid he stopped training and became afraid to fly. Max spread his large wings and ran as hard as he could but he could not take off. This made all the animals in the zoo very sad to see Max walking with his beautiful wings dragging the ground as he walked.
Max was crying and saying to himself;" "I'm the Eagle who is afraid to fly" "I'm the Eagle who is afraid to fly." But with the help of "Stick" the magic cat and "Blitz" the smart dog, Max was able to regain his confidence just in time and accomplish his goal. It was very hard for him to fly with the 3 big baby elephants around the zoo 3 times but, he did it and became a SNOOGi.
The Horse who can only run backward
The horse story is about making decisions, respect and attitude
There once was a horse from the Netherlands whose name was Hans. He wanted to become the animal in the world. All the zoo animals were cheering him on and supporting him except the monkeys. The monkeys, who were always trying to mess things up, worked out a new way to bother Hans. They started following Hans all around the zoo, beating the drums and singing "Hans YOU are the best, Hans YOU are the best, Hans YOU are much better than the rest". In the beginning, at first, Hans was trying very hard not to listen to the monkeys but the taunting only made Hans start thinking he was the best! Much to the shock of the entire zoo, Hans began running around with a big golden crown on his head and singing "I'm the best, I'm the best, I'm much better than the rest". Hans had definitely lost his way and was now running backwards! "I can't run forwards anymore, I will never become the fastest animal in the world", He exclaimed! It was very heart breaking to see Hans crying and running about backwards.
But with the help of "Stick" the magic cat and Blitz" the smart dog Hans managed to overcome all obstacles just in time to win the gold medal and become a SNOOGi.
